The question Which Allegedly: "a Conservationist Cannot Answer"

Andy's UK metal detecting blog " The question that a conservationist cannot answer" was in fact answered several days ago. The metal detectorist however refuses to acknowledge that fact.

This is one of the reasons why I consider it is simply not worth wasting time trying to explain the issues to people like this. They just don't get it, they won't themselves make the effort to try and understand and one certainly would be forgiven   for believing that in reality they have no desire whatsoever to understand. Andy plays the innocent "I think my question was a reasonable one as i am genuinely interested in understanding the conservationists view", when it is clear he has zero interest and zero capability of actually understanding what the issues are. What, however, he clearly is interested in is playing to the gallery of like-minded individuals by writing dismissively of the issues and concerns and wasting everybody's time by "asking questions" the answers to which he is simply unprepared to take on board.

TAKE A GOOD LOOK at this behaviour, for these are precisely the sort of people the PAS wants to grab more and more millions of public quid to make into the "partners" of the British Museum, archaeological heritage professionals and to whom they want us all to entrust the exploitation of the archaeological record. Take a good look and decide what you think about that as a "policy".

UPDATE 20.08.14
The metal detectorist says he has "no free time" to acknowledge the answer I gave. He did not seem to have a problem finding the time to sit and make a series of questions, demands and accusations last week and then to dash off a post alleging he'd craftily asked a question the other side "could not answer". Neither did he consider that my answering the questions directed to me by a single insistent reader is something that takes up quite a bit of my own free time. But that's not like a tekkie - to think of others.
